Perlyn Ho

Being an educator has always been my ambition since I was 14 as I was inspired by my teacher back then. I want to be able to impact students’ lives not only academically but in other ways as well, such as guiding them to becoming a motivated and self-disciplined individual and prepare them better for the future. I am a driven individual who enjoys teaching and guiding students and I have started giving tuition freelance when I was 20 years old. Even though I am majoring in Physics, I love Mathematics and Chinese and these are the subjects that I want to pursue in teaching. I believe that hard work together with humble learning can push me to greater heights. In order to achieve my goals, I have been working part-time jobs and teaching tuition freelance while studying full-time in order to save enough money for my future skills development. In the meantime, being a tutor helped me in understanding my students’ learning styles. From that, I am able to adjust my teaching style to better fit the students’ calibre. I feel that this is one of the many valuable skills that I have picked up throughout the 2 years. I aspire to becoming a teaching in the future. However, I feel that I need more experiences and guidance along the way by enrolling myself in various courses, doing some reading and engaging myself in hands-on activities to improve myself.
